A huge break in a Denver arson case, which resulted in the death of five people.
Police believe all suspects involved are now behind bars after arresting three men in connection with the case overnight.
Dexter Louis, 22, Joseph Hill, 27, and Lynell Hill, 24, were arrested 24 hours after the remains of five people were found inside a Denver bar. Authorities cited tips received after a 2 p.m. Wednesday briefing as crucial in narrowing the search to these three suspects.
Just before 2 a.m. Wednesday, an officer spotted flames at the Fero's Bar and Grill. Firefighters rushed to the scene on what was initially believed to be a standard fire call--until crews entered the building and found bodies inside. All five victims appeared to have been murdered before the fire was set.
The bar's owner, 63-year-old Young Fero, was among the victims. The coroner's office identified the others as 22-year-old Daria M. Pohl, 45-year-old Kellene Fallon, 29-year-old Ross Richter and 45-year-old Tereasa Beesley.
Police said in a press conference Thursday that the motive behind the arson-homicide was robbery. They wouldn't elaborate further, stating that the investigation was still ongoing and in the early stages.
The suspects face a number of charges, including five counts of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and arson.
