We know the children who took the stand in the Carrier trial will likely be asked to testify again. A lawyer for the parents, Attorney Rick Levinson, says the children are willing to take the stand again, and that their parents don’t want other kids to get hurt.
The children will have to recount what allegedly happened in a room inside Horace Mann Middle School. The attorney says his clients don't feel justice was completely served by the verdict Tuesday. Joshua Carrier, the man at the center of the trial, was put behind bars at least temporarily, but he was found not guilty of many of the charges brought against him, including the assault charges.
"We would have hoped for some closure for our kids,” Levinson said. “Our children are still suffering."
