One man is dead after crashing his motorcycle along I-25 Thursday evening.
The motorcyclist died at the scene. He was reportedly wearing a helmet.
According to State Patrol, the driver was passing cars on an on-ramp to I-25 in the Monument area when he lost control and slid into a guardrail. No other vehicles were involved.
Troopers are now investigating whether high speed and alcohol played a role in the crash.
The driver has not been identified, but troopers say he was 39 years old and from the Springs.
