After snowfall along the I-25 corridor Sunday be on the lookout for slick road conditions tonight and during your Monday morning commute. Some areas picked up several inches of snow through the day and, while additional snowfall is not expected to continue, snow packed and wet roadways will freeze overnight as temperatures drop into the teens. Bundle up and take it slow as you head out on the roads. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
A military hearing has been canceled for a Fort Carson soldier accused of shoving a civilian into the Tigris River in Iraq. First Lieutenant Jack Saville waived his right to an Article 32 hearing Tuesday. The hearing was scheduled to begin Wednesday, and would have determined whether Saville would be court-martialed.
The 24-year-old Army officer is charged with involuntary
manslaughter in the death of the Iraqi man, who was forced to jump
from a bridge over the river on January Third. A second Iraqi man survived the fall.
Two other soldiers involved in the incident, 21-year-old
Specialist Terry Bowman and 24-year-old Sergeant Reggie Martinez,
received non-judicial punishments today. Details were not released.
A third soldier is awaiting the outcome of his case.
