A general court-martial at the Air Force Academy has acquitted a junior cadet on drug charges.
Overton Spence, Jr. had been accused of possessing and using illegal steroids. Prosecutors dropped a charge of distribution.
On Tuesday, Spence testified in his own defense, saying he didn't know the type of steroids he was taking were illegal or banned by the NCAA.
Prosecutor Captain Garrett Condon claimed Spence took the steroids because he wanted to get bigger, stronger, faster and better.
Spence was one of four cadets, including another football player, facing steroid charges.
