It says al-Qaida may attempt to attack Veterans Affairs
hospitals, and mentions military medical facilities in Colorado.
But officials say there's no specific or credible threat in the
bulletin. They add people should be aware, but not panicked.
Governor Owens' spokesman Dan Hopkins says the bulletin may
refer to the Colorado Veterans Nursing Home at the old Fitzsimons
Army Medical Center, or a small clinic.
But Hopkins says the governor's office hasn't received any calls
from concerned citizens.
Colorado Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Patti Micciche
says the agency has no plans to investigate further, because there's no credible threat.
But the information has been passed on to agencies with
jurisdiction over VA hospitals.
