Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. An explosion and fire prompted the evacuation of a car dealership in downtown Pueblo on Thursday.
A propane tank used to heat tar on a roofing trailer exploded about 10:30 a.m. at Diodosio Motors in downtown Pueblo. A second tank was also reported to be in danger of blowing up, but did not.
Smoke from the initial explosion poured across I-25, limiting visibility and shutting down the road for a few minutes. The 13th Street exit ramps and a 3-block stretch of Santa Fe were also closed while firefighters battled the flames.
No injuries were reported, and no damage estimate has been released.
