Updated: 05/14/2013 - I'm still focused on meeting my goal of doing a pull-up. And I'm almost there! But I'm always getting this question:
(Salida-AP) -- Authorities have identified a Division of Wildlife pilot who died today.
Fifty-seven-year-old Jim Olterman of Dolores was piloting a
single-engine Cessna today when it crashed in rugged terrain while
restocking high-altitude lakes with trout.
Also onboard the plane was Brandon White.
The 24-year-old from Salida was hospitalized
with injuries.
Olterman was senior terrestrial biologist in charge of wildlife
management on the Western Slope.
White is a fish hatchery employee who was helping Olterman.
Authorities detected an emergency signal from the Cessna 185 at
about 8 a-m.
The wreckage was spotted in trees at a remote location
above ten-thousand feet about 12 miles southeast of Salida.
