Forty-four-year-old Rick Spier was killed along with two others
in the attack about 14-hundred miles east of Jakarta.
William Swann of Littleton says his sister, 46-year-old Patsy
Spier, was wounded but stayed with her husband as long as she could
before she was airlifted out.
Patsy Spier is in stable condition in a hospital in Australia
and is expected to remain there for ten days. Eight others injured
in the attack are also being treated there.
Rick Spier and his wife both worked as teachers at a school at a
copper and gold mine in Tembaguapura.
Relatives say the Spiers both grew up on the Front Range, and
loved to travel.
