Medical Mistakes

Patients might expect that errors in doctors' offices and
clinics would be reported to state health officials as required by
law, but little information is gathered about things that go wrong
outside of a hospital.
A 2-point-7 (m) million dollar study by the University of
Colorado Health Sciences Center could change that.
Doctor Wilson Pace, associate professor of family medicine, will
lead the project. He says the goal is to help improve the safety of
patients in outpatient care settings.
The study will focus on 36 primary-care practices across
Colorado during the next two years.
