An accident at a local landscaping business kills a 68-year old man Saturday morning.
Arbuth Hoyal died when three 2.5 ton concrete barriers came crashing down on him at Pioneer Sand Company.
The accident happened while he was trying to load firewood into his truck.
An employee called police around 9 o'clock, but it was too late. Firefighters arrived and said the man was killed almost instantly.
They believe his death was an accident, but Lt. Neil Leuhring says the recent wet weather may have played a part.
"Anytime you're by any kind of dirt bank or anything that's fairly heavy because the landscape materials get heavier with all the water. So, all of those things could have contributed to this particular accident."
The company will be closed until Monday because of the accident.
