Teen Sex Survey

A recent national survey finds most parents are in the dark about their teenagers' sex lives.

The survey of 1600 mothers and fathers finds 84 percent did not think their teenager was sexually active. That's compared to a recent government study that finds nearly half of children, between the ages of 14 and 18, have had sex.

Ninety percent of the parents surveyed also say they've talked to their children about sex, most by the time they turned 12-years-old.

Seventy-five percent say they've discussed sexually transmitted diseases and 88 percent discussed AIDS.
