A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
Thirty-six-year-old Rick Lopez of Castle Rock was arrested Tuesday during a traffic stop in Onondaga County, New York.
He faces one count of sexual assault, and one count of sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust.
Lopez was the coach of the Colorado Hoopsters before resigning during a tournament in Oregon last month. The team said only that he left for personal reasons.
A former player met with investigators and accused Lopez of misconduct, and the warrants were issued. Lopez has denied the allegations.
He's being held on $500,000 bond pending extradition.
