Plans are in the works to turn part of I-25 running through Denver into a toll road.
Up to $10 million dollars are budgeted for the change.
State officials are looking to charge drivers a toll if they want to use the High-Occupancy Vehicle, or HOV, lanes while traveling alone.
The lanes are currently reserved for car-poolers and buses.
Officials plan to start collecting the tolls next summer.
