Kobe Bryant Case

Media attorneys in the Kobe Bryant case continue to fight an order handed down by the state supreme court on Monday.

Attorneys for several news organizations have now taken their case to the U.S. Supreme Court to be able to publish transcripts from the case that were accidentally e-mailed to them by a court staff member in May.

An earlier ruling threatened contempt of court against any media groups if they published the material.

In a new filing, the attorneys say the threat is a restraint on the freedom of the press.
