There are now 36 confirmed human cases of the West Nile virus this year in Colorado and most seem to be happening in the western half of the state.
The latest case involves a 77 year-old Fruita man who has been diagnosed with encephalitis.
He is the 10th case in Mesa County which leads the state in confirmed human cases.
The county health department is considering aerial spraying that should kill 90 percent of the mosquitoes on contact.
