Academy Superintendent Lieutenant General John Rosa Junior made
that decision this week in the cases of junior running back Matthew
Ward and junior linebacker Overton Spence Junior.
Ward is charged with wrongful use and possession of the anabolic
steroid methandrostenolone. His court-martial is set for August 18th.
Spence is accused of wrongful use, distribution and possession
of the steroid. A date has not yet been set for his court-martial.
Both cadets waived their rights to Article 32 evidentiary
hearings. Ward and Spence are both suspended from the Falcon football team.
