A storm system will begin to impact Southern Colorado by late this morning. Mountain locations will simply see snow, but lower elevations will see rain eventually change to snow by later this afternoon. Locations higher in elevation will see the heaviest snow, due to colder temperatures. So then, Teller County, far northwest El Paso County, and the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains will likely see several inches of wet snow. The major cities will see far less snow and the storm will exit toward early Saturday morning.
An eleven-year-old girl whose disappearance triggered an Amber Alert has been found.
Denver police issued the Amber Alert yesterday morning after her
family noticed her missing Sunday night.
Family acquaintance Jesus Valenzuela was arrested on suspicion
of kidnapping and sexual assault after he was found with the girl
in a Glendale apartment last night.
Glendale police found the pair after getting an anonymous tip.
Police say the girl appeared to be in good health.
Family members say they had grown suspicious of Valenzuela, who
moved in with them three months ago.
The girl had told her mother that Valenzuela frequently tried to
be alone with her.
