Store Owner Questions Robber; Causes Him To Flee Without Cash
Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted armed robbery at Taste of India Grocery on Sunday evening.

Police are searching for the suspect in an attempted armed robbery at Taste of India Grocery on Sunday evening.
The incident happened around 7:40 p.m. Sunday on the 4600 block of Flintridge Drive in Colorado Springs.
Police say the suspect came into the store, showed a handgun, and demanded cash.
11 News spoke with the owner of Taste of India Grocery, Dalwinder Kaur. She described how the attempted robbery happened. She says the man was wearing a black mask and holding a gun and told her he needed money. She asked "Why do you need money?" He responded by saying he needed money for his family. Again, she asked him "Why? Do you want to kill me?" She says he responded by saying "No, I don't want to kill you. I just want money."
It was then that another customer came walking in the store. The owner yelled "He has a gun!" The customer then ran out of the store and the suspect fled as well.
Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 30s, about 5'7'' tall and weighing about 170 pounds.
No one was hurt in the incident, but police need help finding the suspect.
The owner of Taste of India says this is the fourth time her store has been targeted by crooks. Kaur says in the past four robbery attempts, the thieves were only able to get away with cash once.

Well Jared if the owner hadnt been talking to the robber then he might have already been out of the door when that other customer walked in. I also think that because she made the robber think about her as another human being (by asking if he wanted to kill her) he might have had second thoughts. Again that is just my opinion but it makes sense to me. Anyway... This woman was smart and acted bravely! I hope that they catch this scum bag and give him a harsh sentence. Maybe next time he will stop and think before he points a gun at someone.
Like I said, no where in the article does it say the owner's questioning of the suspect forces him to flee without cash. The suspect fled without cash because a customer foild the robbery. The owner had nothing to do with the suspect leaving without cash as the misleading headline suggests DB.
