Colorado Springs Utilities will likely raise residential rates for natural gas by 9 to 13 percent this fall.

Users can expect to pay up to $23 more per month in the second straight year of rate hikes.

Utility officials say natural gas wholesale prices are rising consistently and expect prices to remain high for the next 4 to 6 years.
