Kobe Bryant heard a lot of boos and catcalls when the Los Angeles Lakers visited the Denver Nuggets this year. But even basketball fans unhappy with him over a sexual assault charge still cheered some of his standout moves.
Now, Nuggets fans are showing some of the same mixed emotions after hearing word that the Nuggets are in talks with Bryant. Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe
wouldn't comment on reports that he visited Bryant at his California home on Monday.
Bryant is testing the free-agent market ahead of his trial, scheduled to begin in Eagle County on August 27th. Despite a harsh reception in Denver, Bryant said in February that he would consider playing for the Nuggets, among other teams.
