New cadets are going through medical processing and getting
haircuts and clothing this morning as they begin basic cadet

But they aren't getting the same kind of training as other

The academy is in its second year of a quieter kind of drill
instruction following the school's sexual assault scandal.

Rather than humiliating cadets and yelling in their faces, drill
instructors will focus on training cadets in real-world stresses.
That will include days with six hours of sleep, wake-up calls at
4:30 in the morning, strict discipline, marching and physical

The new class has roughly 1,300 cadets.
