Denver District Attorney Bill Ritter announced the charges today
against 20-year-old Griselle Suarez.

Authorities say her sister called 911 last Friday after seeing
Suarez carry a box to a Dumpster and finding two bloody blankets
inside.

Paramedics revived the full-term baby boy and took him to a
hospital, but he died after being removed from life support Monday
night.

Doctors told police the child would have survived with immediate
medical attention.

A state law allows parents to abandon an unharmed newborn with
72 hours of birth at a hospital, police or fire station.

Suarez is scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.
