The woman in her 30s developed symptoms in early June after
being bitten by mosquitoes around Memorial Day.

The other cases include three people in Larimer County and two
in Logan County whose ages haven't been released. A
35-year-old Adams County woman and a 30-year-old Pueblo County man are also recovering.

The mosquito-born virus can cause fever, flu-like symptoms,
tremors, paralysis and death. It can also infect birds, horses and
some other mammals.

Last year, nearly 3,000 Coloradans contracted West Nile
virus, and more than 60 died.
