Palmer Lake Water Worries

In a community where every drop of water is precious, on Monday, Palmer Lake crews scrambled to fix a broken water main.

The two-inch pipe spilled thousands of gallons of water onto the ground and it forced Palmer Lake Elementary to cancel classes for the day.

However, Palmer Lake Mayor Nikki McDonald says the water loss is not significant.

The community has only have a few months' worth of water left in its reserves and has already banned all outside watering for the rest of the summer.
