Toyota Recalls 437,000 Prius, Hybrids Globally
Toyota is recalling hybrid cars worldwide to fix a brake problem.

Toyota says it is recalling about 437,000 Prius and other hybrid cars worldwide to fix brake problems -- the latest in a string of embarrassing safety problems at the world's largest automaker.
Company President Akio Toyoda made the recall announcement Tuesday afternoon at a press conference.
"We have decided to recall as we regard safety for our customers as our foremost priority," Toyoda said.
There have been about 200 complaints in Japan and the U.S. about a delay when the brakes in the Prius were pressed in some conditions.

Chris ,I would agree with you if you had said you have owned both American and Foreign cars and Toyota was the best ,but its obivous you have never owned a American car so you really dont have a objective opinion ,now myself have owned both a Ford F150 and Toyota Tundra and I can say Toyota doesn't make a very good pick-up the ride is rough and bouncey .and the maintance COST are very high .I will keep my ford thank you very much .my brakes work and my throttle doesnt stick

The way I see it is this, Toyota has been a superior automaker for many of years. Compaired to the poor quality of automakers here in the US, Toyota is still the best quality you can buy. I commend Mr. Toyoda for appolgizing for the company's shortcomings and correcting the issues. I WILL STILL BUY TOYOTA VEHICLES FOR THEIR QUALITY!!!

The new Toyota commerical is so heart breaking ,the one where they say how sorry they are for the poor quality of there cars and the recalls .It makes me want to cry (boo hoo)they are only sorry they got caught try to hind the fact they knew about these safety concerns two ,three , four years ago and did nothing .
