A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect on Tuesday afternoon for most of Southern Colorado. Daytime heating and moisture will combine with a disturbance moving through Colorado to develop numerous thunderstorms. Any one of them will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain. Burn scars and areas that have seen recent heavy rain will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
Police in Oklahoma arrest a man wanted in the fatal shooting of a Colorado Springs teen during a confrontation in a Wal-Mart store.
Officers with the Oklahoma State Patrol stopped 19-year-old Jerry Rosas on a traffic violation in the city of Clinton. When they discovered he was wanted in Colorado Springs, they contacted CSPD.
Colorado Springs Police have been looking for Rosas since Saturday, when he shot and killed 17-year-old Rashawn Jones inside the Wal-Mart store at Chelton and Plattte.
Rosas was traveling with his girlfriend, Jessica Flores. She was also arrested and is expected to face drug charges for items found in the car. Rosas faces a first degree murder charge in Jones' death, as well as drug charges.
