Two Fort Carson Soldiers Killed in Iraq

The Department of Defense has announced the deaths of two more Fort Carson soldiers.

The military says 21-year-old Army private first class Jerimiah Veitch from Dibble, Oklahoma, died June 21st when his vehicle was hit by a rocket propelled grenade in Baghdad.

Veitch was assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, based at the post outside Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Family members say Veitch had only been in Iraq for two months following a two week visit with family and friends in his hometown of Dibble.

Meanwhile, 25-year old Sgt. William E. Brown of Phil Cambell, Alabama was killed on June 23rd near Taji, Iraq. Brown died after insurgents attacked his unit.
