A system producing heavy snow in the central mountains arrives in SE Colorado overnight Sunday into Monday bringing moisture, windy conditions and colder temperatures. Snow showers will be possible across the I-25 corridor to start the day. This system will produce bands of snow through the day Monday. Areas under these bands will see periods of heavy snowfall which, with windy conditions, could create travel difficulties. Air Force Academy officials say updated information on an investigation of cadets cheating on a test shows 19 cadets admitted or were found to have allegedly violated the honor code.
Since April 22nd, 265 cadets have been interviewed. Seven cadets voluntarily resigned, 12 cadets admitted cheating, and 50 denied cheating and their cases were forwarded for more investigation.
Officials say of those 50, 33 cases were dropped and 17 were forwarded to Wing Honor Boards. That review resulted in 7 violations and 10 with no violations. No other cases are under investigation.
A final decision on possible discipline for the 19 cadets will be determined by the Commandant of Cadets and Superintendent.
