A case of road rage goes too far after two men pull a gun and begin shooting at another car in broad daylight.

It happened Sunday afternoon just before 5:00 p.m. The victim says he was on his way to pick up his son, heading south down Chelton when a vehicle came tearing out of a 7-11 at Fountain.

“The guy came around the car, he showed me the gun, and he pointed the gun at me,” said the victim.

He says words were exchanged and before he knew it the man began shooting. That’s when the victim called 9-1-1, and it was all caught on tape.

“He's coming up at me now, I'm getting shot at, he just shot out my back window, he just shot out my back window,” the victim said to the 9-1-1 dispatcher.

The shooting happened near Academy and Chelton, leaving the victim’s vehicle riddled with bullet holes. The victim says then he saw the shooter turn off just past Academy and Chelton.

The vehicle was located by police shorlty after unoccupied.

The suspects are still on the loose.

The victim described the driver as a black male, in his early twenties with short hair and a gold grill on his teeth.

The passenger was described as in his early twenties, with dread locks, two ponytails and a goatee with no mustache.

If you have any information on the suspects call Police.

Truth is, that's probably one of the most stupid comments I've ever read on this site... Congratulations!!!! Judging by that rational you think the person who almost got hit and then shot is in the wrong because he voiced his displeasure with the IDIOT driving the other car... Is that correct?

Truth is, "words" should not have been exchanged. What idiot would get mouthy with someone on the road. Especially after seeing two people in the car. He obviously thought he was a tough guy and got put in his place. Maybe in the future, he won't mouth off. Not saying the guy with the gun was in the right, but it takes a real moron to show defiance in that kind of situation. ...Flame away.

No comments about this article?? This happens in broad daylight and the suspects are still out there walking around like nothing happened?? I see daily the way people drive in this city and its scary to think that someone would pull a gun because they were being the problem with gangs getting worst in Colorado Springs??

Why is it the second time this month that Fountain and Chelton or Chelton and Mallard considered "Southwest" Colorado Springs? I always thought I lived in "Southeast" Colorado Springs. I didn't pay much attention to the story until I realized it was close to home.

What a shame. Unfortunately it's getting really bad here with vandals, etc. no mater where you live in Colorado Springs.
