The Cheesman Reservoir south of Denver has opened to fishermen for the first time since the Hayman wildifre in 2002.
The fire, the largest ever since the state began monitoring fires, burned 140,000 acres and destroyed 130 homes.
It also closed the reservoir to fishermen.
Wednesday it re-opened to rave reviews.
Ed Lussier, a Denver fishermen, said it was great because the fish hadn't seen any lures for five years.
