With the weather warming up, many will be taking rafting trips down the Arkansas River this summer.

Even though there's threat of a drought, river-rafting experts say there's plenty of water to go around. That's because snow in the high-country is now melting, making waves in the Arkansas River.

Experienced rafters, like Andy Neinas of Echo Canyon River Expeditions, say now is the time to go.

"If you're in Colorado Springs, Denver, Castle Rock, head for the high country now because best time to raft is three to four weeks of June."

The rafting season has just begun, so the water is still a chilly 50 degrees. Rafters recommend wearing wet suits.
