A FLASH FLOOD WATCH will go into effect at NOON and last through MIDNIGHT from most of Southern Colorado. Scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms will be more than capable of producing very heavy rain once again. Burn scars and areas that saw heavy rain yesterday will be under the greatest risk for flash flooding. The 11 Breaking Weather Team will be tracking this threat all day for you.
The family of Melissa Zavislan seeks unspecified damages from former District 70 Superintendent Stu Yager.
Pueblo County sheriff's reports show Melissa Zavislan and Yager's daughter were dancing in the back of Yager's pickup last year when Yager hit a bump that threw the girls to the pavement.
Zavislan was eleven years old at the time Yager's daughter invited her on a camping excursion.
Both girls were taken to the emergency room, and Stu Yager was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
He eventually pleaded guilty to reduced charges of felony vehicular assault and misdemeanor reckless endangerment.
