Snow and rain will continue to taper from north. Main roads should stay just wet overnight and through early Thursday. Secondary roads and any bridges and overpasses away from city warmth will be icy, so be careful. Locally dense fog will be an issue for the early morning too. Six Air Force Academy cadets have resigned over an investigation into cheating at the school.
A total of 70 freshman cadets were accused of cheating on a 25 question online test. Academy spokesman Johnny Whitaker says six
resigned, and 14 admitted to cheating.
There are about 1,150 freshmen at the academy.
Whitaker says the academy will try to resolve suspected cheating
cases before graduation, June 2nd, when President Bush is to be
the main commencement speaker.
Boards run by cadets will determine the punishments.
This is the fifth such cheating scandal at the academy. The last major one was back in 1984. The worst was in 1965 when 109 cadets resigned or were expelled.
