Early Morning Shooting In Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Police are investigating an early morning shooting on the city's south side.

The shooting happened around 2:30 Friday morning at the 7-Eleven store at the corner of East Pikes Peak and North Academy.

Police say there was a fight in the parking lot and one man was shot in the shoulder. His injuries are not life threatening.

Police are still looking for the suspect in this case who is described as a black male driving a gold Cadillac.

    It is not necessary to have sex,birth year, if email address is sent. With all the identity theft- less is better.

    It seems as though the Colorado Springs police department becomes more ineffective with every passing day. They seem more interested in slapping people with large speeding tickets and less interested in bringing down the rising number of MAJOR crimes in this city. THANKS MAYOR RIVERA!!!!!

    I remember living in the Springs and always avoided this area, especially at night. Every town has its bad parts and I guess this one is one of them.
