Locally heavy rain will remain possible overnight, with any showers and storms. Areas likely to see additional heavy rain will likely be east of I-25 and along HWY 50 from Canon City eastward. (Denver-AP) -- Airlines offering free flights on the first
anniversary of the September eleven terrorist attacks will not have
to pay landing fees at Denver International Airport.
So far, only Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based Spirit Airlines
announced it would provide free flights throughout its system on
September eleven to help people overcome their reluctance to fly.
All the carriers' 13-thousand-400 seats on that day were booked
within eight hours after reservations opened August seventh.
D-I-A manager Bruce Baumgartner says Spirit Airlines has 90
flights scheduled that day including four from Denver. No landing
fees will save the airline a total of 64-hundred dollars.
American and United -- the nation's largest carriers -- say they
are cutting back their flight schedules on that day.
