VA Tech Students Question Warning

Virginia Tech students want to know why they weren't warned sooner about Monday morning's shooting in a dorm.

They're questioning how the gunman was able to strike a second time in a classroom across campus, some two hours later, killing a total of 32 people before taking his own life.

One student tells CNN what happened was "ridiculous." He says the first warning about the dorm shooting came in an e-mail two hours after it happened. He says by the time officials sent the e-mail out, more people were being killed in the academic building.

The e-mail had few details. It said: "A shooting incident occurred at West Amber Johnston earlier this morning. Police are on the scene and are investigating." The message warned students to be cautious and contact police about anything suspicious.

Police say they were still investigating the shooting at the dorm when they got word of gunfire at the classroom building.
