A 72-year-old man is at a Colorado Springs hospital in critical condition after getting stabbed twice by his 50-year-old wife.
50-Year-old Janet Hilton was arrested on Friday night in Colorado Springs and has been charged with, according to police, attempted first degree murder. Hilton allegedly stabbed her 72-year-old husband in the chest twice.
The stabbing happened on Friday night at around 7:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of Server Drive. That's near S. Chelton Road and E. Fountain Blvd.
Police say the victim suffered two stab wounds to the chest and was rushed to the hospital with life threatening injuries.
The woman who is suspected in the stabbing remains in jail.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
