Meth Found in Jail

At about 7:00 p.m., lWednesday night, the Sheriff's Office Special Response Team conducted a routine shakedown of ward 2D1 at the Criminal Justice Center.

Deputies found 3 grams of methamphetamine on the floor in a common area and 27 grams of methamphetamine that inmate had hidden in his boxer shorts.

It is estimated that the 30 grams of methamphetamine is worth $3,000.

The inmate has been charged with Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute and is not being identified for safety reasons.
