Fire Compensation

Colorado residents affected by this summer's wildfires can receive crisis counseling under a grant by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The $125,164 grant will make counseling available
to anyone living in counties declared eligible for federal assistance since June 19th. That includes 56 counties and two
American Indian reservations.

Disaster victims are likely to experience anger, confusion, loss
of appetite, sleeplessness, depression or inability to concentrate.
Mental health experts encourage victims to get physical exercise
and talk about their feelings with family members or counselors.
