Right before 9 p.m., police say shots were fired into a Colorado Springs house on the 1600 block of Carmel Drive. The house was hit about seven times. No one inside was hit. A witness told police that the driver of a grey Toyota Camry was the the suspect.

Cops say later on, they were called to Memorial Hospital where two women were getting treatment after they were hit with a stray bullet. They had been driving on Conosa Drive. Right before their car was hit, one of the women says she saw a dark-colored sedan firing a gun at a house on Conosa Drive. Both women were treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries.

Police now say that both shootings are related and happened within minutes of each other. The two homes are within a mile of each other on the southeast side of Colorado Springs.

At this time, no suspects have been arrested. If you have any information about these drive-by shootings, call Crime Stoppers at 634-STOP.

Jose, I must ask, where you see anything about Hispanics in the article or the comments? I see pleanty about gangs and punks, but no mention of race. Why is it that someone always turns an article like this into a racial thing? I can't count how many articles I've read about violence here that someone makes a comment like this about, when race was not even mentioned...or mentioned as an identifying fact only to help locate a suspect.

I think it's racest to say these shooters were Hispanic! People should get their facts straight before they speak!
