El Paso County health officials say the swine flu vaccine is now available and thousands are expected to get immunized next week.

The El Paso County Department of Public Health and Environment says it plans to vaccinate more than 2,000 at a clinic Wednesday. Three other clinics are scheduled through Nov. 19.

The department also says the vaccine will be available at about four dozen pharmacies, including ones at Walgreens, Safeway and King Soopers.

The vaccine is available to high-risk groups, including pregnant woman, children and health care workers.

The county health department had previously canceled swine flu clinics because they had not gotten the vaccine.

Thank you for posting this story. I read it and had called walgreens and got at least of our family to get the shots. Walgreens was about out and only offers to 9 and over and the first groups. Still have to wait to get the younger two the shot crossing my fingers their Doctor will offer it so i can avoid a wait at a health dept clinic.
