The El Paso County Coroner's office says an audit overlooked key details and reached conclusions based on a quick review of the facts.
An attorney for Coroner David Bowerman issued the response to
the audit Thursday, criticizing its methods and conclusions.
Bowerman has been coroner since 1981. Until last year, his
company had a contract to provide autopsies for the county.

$25,000 dollars after a dispute with Bowerman over the cost of
