Sad to hear, but happy for you John. Don't you have better options then Kurtz and his side kick Earl. Talk about a downgrade. Best luck John and hope to see you around.

If whoever is moderating these comments reads this - and I KNOW it's not Big Daddy :) - please tell him his old producer friend 'Stephalitis' wishes him well in his semi-retirement. Working with him was such a joy.

In the 4 years I've lived here, I've never seen John cover a local sports story, he seemed more interested in Denver sports, especially Nuggets and Broncos. Maybe he's grown tired. I'm looking forward to more Jesse Kurtz - he's great.

Another one of the greats is retiring from television. My family met John once in public, he made everyone feel so very welcome to come and talk to him. He made everyone feel important. Things won't be the same without the oracle John Owens.

John will be missed from doing the sports for all these years. Who will be taking over his job and doing the Oricle which he have been doing for years?
