Saving Water

As temperatures rise, the drought conditions become even more apparent.

Springs Utilities officials are concerned about the city's water consumption.

Right now, the Springs is under stage two water restrictions. That means, customers are only allowed to water their lawns on certain days of the week, depending on their addresses.

But ulitity officials say people still aren't conserving enough. They're looking for a 20% reduction in use.

As a guide, they say you should look at your bill from the same month last year, to see how much you're cutting back.

If you no longer have last year's bill, you can call 448-4800 to find out how much it was. That number is also used for reporting watering violations. You can also go to the downtown utilities office for a printout of last year's bill.
