Charges will not be filed against officers who shot and killed an armed robbery suspect last week in Canon City.
District Attorney Ed Rodgers says the officers used reasonable
and necessary force to subdue the man.
Forty-five year old Steven Allen Wilson of Rockvale died July
17th at a Pueblo hospital after an eight-hour standoff at a drug
store with police.
Officers fired five shots, including one that hit Wilson in the eye and killed him.
Investigators say Wilson did not fire at the officers.
He did shoot at the drug store owner and briefly took a woman
hostage.
Neither were harmed.
