A storm system will begin to impact Southern Colorado by late this morning. Mountain locations will simply see snow, but lower elevations will see rain eventually change to snow by later this afternoon. Locations higher in elevation will see the heaviest snow, due to colder temperatures. So then, Teller County, far northwest El Paso County, and the Wet & Sangre de Cristo Mountains will likely see several inches of wet snow. The major cities will see far less snow and the storm will exit toward early Saturday morning.
An Associated Press report says an Air Force Academy cadet was allowed to stay at the school several months after he was arrested for sodomizing a woman in a wheelchair and accused of raping another cadet.
Cadet Doncosta Seawell first came to the attention of Academy investigators when he was accused of sexually assaulting another cadet 2 years ago.
A month after the 9-11 attacks, Seawell threatened to fly a glider into the cadet dining hall.
Two months late, he was arrested in Los Angeles for attacking a wheelchair-bound woman but was released from custody by the Air Force.
Seawell remained at the school 6 more months but was, then, accused of raping another cadet.
Seawell was expelled in October 2002 and was sentenced to 2 years in prison.
