After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. The main impact will be the cold along with winds gusting up to 40 mph at times. Click on the 'Weather' tab for more...
Nearly 300 troops are enjoying their first night home in nearly a year.
They arrived early Saturday night in one of the largest groups to return home so far.
About 170 from the 3rd Brigade Combat Team were at the homecoming. The rest that landed prior headed back to their hometowns earlier in the day.
Some soldiers say being home felt too good to be true. They say they've experienced so many different emotions being away from about a year. Most of all, they missed being away from their families.
So far, 44hundred soldiers are already home from Iraq. Fifty-six hundred more troops will be home by April.
