After a mild Saturday, temperatures to finish the weekend will be MUCH colder! A system to our west pushes into SE Colorado overnight. Snow showers will be possible by early Sunday morning across the I-25 corridor with a change to rain and snow showers through the afternoon. Accumulation should be minimal as most moisture looks to be light and temperatures will warm into the upper 30s and 40s through the afternoon. Two subdivisions in the Coal Creek Canyon area northwest of Golden were evacuated because of a fire fanned by 29-mile per hour gusts.
About 81 families were affected before the fire was contained.
Authorities say it apparently started when a 13-year-old boy crashed on a small motor bike. He was hospitalized for burns.
