Four families are forced out of their homes by an early morning apartment fire.
It broke out around 2:30 a.m. in a four-plex apartment at 834 Bennett Avenue. That's near North Circle and Yampa Street.
Fire officials say when they arrived flames were shooting high into the air from the unit on the upper right hand side. Crews were able to knock out the fire within 15 minutes. The fire contained to one apartment but other units sustained smoke damage.
Firefighters aren't sure what started the fire or if anyone was hurt because the woman who lived inside the damaged apartment left the scene. A fire investigator has been called to find out what may have started the blaze.
